What is Posture Correction?

At Acupuncture by Devon, we use a quantifiable program that focuses specifically on achieving postural re-alignment through corrective exercises. We measure skeletal landmarks, locating postural imbalances and the cause of your symptoms. We then provide you with a customized posture exercise program you can do in the comfort of your home. After three weeks of therapy, we evaluate your progress and refine your exercise program so you receive the maximum benefit. It’s both simple and effective.

Why Posture Correction?

We’ve become an increasingly sedentary society, relying more and more on technology to do our work for us. We spend more time sitting than any generation before, and this lack of movement often results in chronic pain.

85-90% of chronic back pain is due to muscular imbalances, often created by poor posture. At first, this simply strains our muscles, tendons and ligaments, causing repetitive stress syndrome, decreased athletic endurance and chronic pain. However, over time, these imbalances begin to impact our bodies systemically, causing numbness and tingling in the extremities, digestive distress and even infertility.

If you suffer from chronic back pain, posture correction may be the answer. Call us today to schedule a measurement session!
